Our Commitment to Accessibility

Onko is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The onko.tr website aims to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
(WCAG 2.2 defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA; Level AAA being the highest.)

  • Full conformance: The content completely conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
  • Partial conformance: Some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.
  • Non conformance: The content does not conform to the accessibility standard.

This website is currently in a state of partial conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Known accessibility barriers

  • Reading and keyboard navigation order:
    Visual order of one element does not follow DOM order. The language toggle currently precedes the main navigation menu in the tab order. We are working on a solution.
  • Inaccessible PDFs. We may not be providing remediation for them in the shortrun.
    • 2 legal documents in Turkish only, linked from the footer, are not accessible. These documents were generated by third parties and do not meet accessibility standards.
    • We are aware that the video on our radiotherapy page is legacy content and may not meet our current accessibility standards. We plan to replace or remove this content during a future site update.
    • CV of Aytul Kanat linked from "Our Clinics" page. This document has been provided by one of our staff members and has been uploaded as is. We advise users to contact the owner for any accessibility concerns related to their PDFs.

This website uses Bootstrap for design and has been thoroughly tested against WCAG before going live.
